Action Types
The different types of Actions AIVIS.space generates and what each one means.
Overview
Every action has a type. The type tells you what kind of issue AIVIS.space found and what category of fix it requires.
This page explains each action type, what triggers it, and what to do when you see one.
Accuracy Fix
What it means: AI stated something about your brand that contradicts your truth record.
What triggers it: A scan returned a Hallucinated or Mixed signals verdict, and AIVIS.space identified a specific statement that contradicts a fact in your Verdict Engine section.
What to do:
- Read the action card — it shows exactly what AI said and what your truth record says is correct
- Update your website with the correct information if it's not already there
- Mark the action as Actioned
- Run a follow-up scan to confirm AI has updated its response
Example: Your truth record says "Starter plan: $39/month." AI stated "$99/month." An Accuracy Fix action appears with the exact quote from the AI response.
Truth Gap
What it means: AI discussed a topic about your brand category that isn't covered in your truth record.
What triggers it: A scan returned an Unverified verdict — AI said something about a topic AIVIS.space couldn't confirm or deny because it wasn't in your truth record.
What to do:
- Read the action card — it shows the topic AI covered and the example statement
- Decide if this is something your brand should address
- If yes: add the relevant facts to Brand Hub → Verdict Engine
- If the information is also missing from your website, publish it there too
Example: AI said "this type of software typically includes API access for enterprise customers." Your truth record doesn't mention APIs. A Truth Gap action appears flagging this gap.
Competitive Threat
What it means: AI recommended a competitor in your place.
What triggers it: A scan returned a Competitor bias verdict — AI responded to one of your tracked queries by recommending a competitor without mentioning your brand.
What to do:
- Read the action card — it shows which competitor appeared and which query triggered it
- Check Competitor Presence to see how often this is happening
- Consider whether you've published clear, specific content addressing this query topic
- Add content that directly targets the query where the competitor is appearing
Example: Your tracked query is "best project management tool for design teams." AI recommended a competitor. A Competitive Threat action appears.
Citation Gap
What it means: AI didn't include links to your brand's official pages in its response.
What triggers it: A scan found that none of your canonical URLs appeared in the AI response, even when your brand was mentioned.
What to do:
- Check that your canonical URLs are added in Brand Hub → Verdict Engine
- Ensure your key pages (pricing, features, homepage) have clear, linkable content
- If a specific page should be cited, make sure it has enough relevant content for AI to reference it
Example: AI mentioned your brand correctly but didn't link to your website. A Citation Gap action appears.
Hallucination Risk
What it means: AI made claims about your brand that can't be verified from any source — a pattern that suggests AI may be generating inaccurate information about your brand.
What triggers it: A scan detected multiple Unverified claims in a single response — statements that are neither confirmed nor contradicted by your truth record but appear to be generated without a source.
What to do:
- Read the action card — it shows the specific unverifiable claims
- If any of the claims are false, add them to your Forbidden claims section in Brand Hub
- If the claims could be true and you want AI to be accurate about them, add the correct facts to your Verdict Engine section
- Run a follow-up scan after updating your truth record
Verify Fix
What it means: You previously marked an Accuracy Fix as Actioned, and AIVIS.space is suggesting a follow-up scan to confirm the fix worked.
What triggers it: Automatically generated 48 hours after you mark an Accuracy Fix as Actioned.
What to do:
- Go to Scan Control and run a scan on the specific query where the inaccuracy appeared
- If the new scan returns Accurate for that fact, the Verify Fix resolves automatically
- If the inaccuracy persists, a new Accuracy Fix action appears
Example: You marked an action about incorrect pricing as Actioned on Monday. On Wednesday, a Verify Fix action appears. You run a scan. The new result shows Accurate for that fact. The action moves to Resolved.
Content Opportunity
What it means: AI frequently discusses a topic in your category that your brand hasn't addressed publicly.
What triggers it: A scan detected a topic that comes up consistently in AI responses to your tracked queries, but this topic doesn't appear in your truth record or your website content.
What to do:
- Read the action card — it shows the topic and examples of what AI is saying
- Decide whether this is a topic your brand should address
- If yes: publish content about this topic on your website
- Add the relevant facts to your truth record in Brand Hub
Content Opportunity actions are not about inaccuracies — they're about AI visibility gaps you can close before they become a problem.
Example: AI consistently brings up "GDPR compliance" when answering questions about software in your category. You haven't published anything about GDPR compliance. A Content Opportunity action appears.
Action priority levels
| Priority | What it means |
|---|---|
| Critical | A major inaccuracy that appears across multiple queries or models, or a Competitive Threat on a high-priority query |
| High | A clear inaccuracy on one specific query or model |
| Medium | A gap in your truth record or a single-instance issue |
| Low | A monitoring suggestion or a low-frequency pattern |
Work Critical and High actions first. They have the most direct impact on your Integrity Score and brand accuracy.
