Content Gap

Topics AI discusses in your category that your brand hasn't addressed.

What Content Gap shows

Content Gap identifies topics that come up frequently in AI responses about your category — but that your brand hasn't addressed in its truth record or publicly on its website.

Why it matters

AI builds answers from what's published on the internet. If a topic is commonly discussed in your category but your brand hasn't written about it clearly, AI may skip your brand when answering questions about that topic — or mention a competitor who has addressed it.

Content Gap shows you where those gaps are so you can fill them before they become a problem.

What you'll see

For each identified gap:

  • Topic — The subject AI commonly brings up in your category
  • Gap type:
    • Absence — The topic never appears in your truth record. Your brand hasn't addressed it at all.
    • Inaccuracy — The topic appears in AI responses, but the statements don't match what's in your truth record.
  • Frequency — How often this topic appeared across your scans
  • Example — A sample of what AI said about this topic

How to use this information

Topic type: Absence — AI is discussing a topic your brand hasn't addressed. Consider:

  1. Adding the relevant facts to the Verdict Engine section in Brand Hub
  2. Publishing content on your website that covers this topic clearly

Topic type: Inaccuracy — AI is discussing a topic you've covered, but getting it wrong. Check your Accuracy Fix actions for this topic and update your truth record with the correct facts.

Content Gap vs. Actions

Content Gap is a diagnostic view. It shows you patterns across multiple scans.

Actions are specific tasks generated from individual scan results. Content Gap may surface the same topics that your Actions are flagging, but shows them as a trend rather than individual incidents.
